Strategic fleet expansion reshapes luxury market

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings’ multibillion-dollar investment programme represents the largest expansion of its premium fleet segment to date. Over the next five years, Oceania Cruises welcomes three newbuilds, starting with Allura’s introduction this year. The existing fleet modernisation includes comprehensive upgrades for Marina and Riviera, scheduled for 2026 and 2027 respectively.

Regent Seven Seas Cruises mirrors this ambitious growth trajectory with two new vessels planned through 2029. The brand’s modernisation strategy extends to current assets, with Seven Seas Mariner and Seven Seas Voyager receiving substantial enhancements in 2025 and 2026.

Montague’s appointment builds upon his successful tenure as President and Chief Executive Officer of Regent Seven Seas Cruises until 2022, followed by two years as Special Advisor to NCLH.
