Discreetly tucked away off of Ocean Boulevard, The Eau Palm Beach Resort and Spa is an unassuming looking building hidden by palm trees. Although large and impressive to look at, the former Ritz-Carlton resort blends into the scenery as to not be overbearing on the local quiet ocean front town. But it’s a different story once you step inside. The tropical breeze welcomes you (along with a glass of Champagne) as you step into the light, airy and magnificently opulent yet modern lobby.
Celebrity designer Jonathan Adler was appointed to create many of the artworks throughout the resort, as well as design most of the rooms and facilities. The result is a mediterranean-meets-tropical luxury paradise, using high quality materials and immaculate finishes, with every attention to detail considered, creating a truly unique and stunning interior design.
One of the most impressive aspects of the Eau is the attention to detail. From the immaculately presented venue and staff dressed in fine tailoring, to the peach and rhubarb infused Champagne presented as part of your welcome, along with the nightly events hosted in the lobby, it’s these small things that make a lasting impression.
Location
Situated just south of central West Palm Beach, the Eau is reachable only by car, so a rental from the airport or taxis are essential. The hotel offers valet parking, so you can drive right up to the door without fuss. The resort is close to local attractions like the famous Worth Avenue which is brimming with designer brands and high-end boutique stores, perfect for indulgent days. The coastal A1A road makes for some magnificent sightseeing, and is well worth a drive around to admire the local mansions and pristine neighbourhoods. The Eau is just a short drive away from the Rosemary Square, shopping centre by day, and lively night-spot every evening. Hosting a range of restaurants, bars and clubs, with live music and a relaxed vacation vibe, a trip down to the complex is a must.
Being situated directly on the beach, the Eau works closely with the local Sea Turtle Hospital at Loggerhead Marinelife Center. This community partnership helps the conservation efforts for the ocean and its wildlife, whilst also generating awareness for the local turtles who nest on the beach. Special measures are taken to ensure the preservation of the turtles and their eggs which are buried in the sand. They hatch late at night, and the baby turtles and use the moonlight to guide their way into the sea. We love to see this sort of corporate social responsibility, and the Eau is just one of hundreds of local conscientious businesses helping to make a difference.
Rooms
309 rooms are available, presented in a range of sizes, but for a true Eau experience, we highly recommend opting for an ocean view junior suite. Huge sliding windows opens the room up to the hypnotising and calming sound of waves crashing against the private peach with an infinite sea view on a clear day. The large balcony features swinging chairs and offers a perfect private spot for relaxing, day and night.
The suites feature a spacious living room leading on to a large bedroom, an opulent marble-clad bathroom, freestanding marble bath tub, and separate toilet rooms. Dining
The Eau features 4 restaurants; Angle, Temple Orange, Breeze Ocean Kitchen and Stir Bar & Terrace, each with its own unique take on traditional food, paired with exceptional service and varied menus. We dined at Temple Orange, a modernist Mediterranean inspired restaurant which prides itself on locally sourced and regionally-grown seasonal produce as well as prime meats and freshly caught seafood. With a range of menus presented throughout the day from breakfast to lunch and dinner as well as weekly specials, there’s something for everyone, and a popular choice by both hotel guests and locals. The Sunday Bistro Brunch is also a big hit, with free flowing champagne, a chilled seafood display, carving stations, Mediterranean-inspired small plates and an indulgent dessert display. Live entertainment is also provided by Arturo Romay, bringing a fantastic atmosphere to the luxury restaurant.
Temple Orange opens it’s doors every morning for an amazing traditional-meets-modern Mediterranean style breakfast buffet, which serves a huge range freshly prepared favourites, taking inspiration from southern France, Italy, Greece and Israel. Indulge in the home made pastries and classic American staples straight from the griddle. A full A La Carte menu is also available, and the freshly pressed juices are a must.
