Adobe’s leadership team welcomes seasoned marketing veteran Lara Balazs as Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President of Global Marketing. The appointment, announced by CEO Shantanu Narayen, marks a significant strategic move for the technology giant as it continues to strengthen its position in the digital innovation landscape.
With an illustrious career spanning prestigious brands including Amazon, Visa and Nike, Balazs brings a wealth of experience in delivering transformative customer-centric marketing strategies. Her most recent role as CMO and General Manager of the Strategic Partner Group at Intuit saw her successfully reimagine the company’s brand strategy and go-to-market activities, particularly in supporting its AI-driven financial technology platform.

In her new position, Balazs assumes responsibility for Adobe’s comprehensive marketing operations, encompassing the company’s distinguished brand, Adobe.com, flagship industry events, campaigns, communications, social media presence, and its sophisticated media operations and marketing insights division.
Her proven track record includes notable achievements at global technology and financial services firms. At Amazon, she played a pivotal role in driving the growth of Amazon Prime, whilst at Visa, she spearheaded the company’s evolution into digital payments, launching innovative mobile-first products such as Visa Checkout and Apple Pay. During her tenure at Intuit, she achieved remarkable success in leading the ProTax Group to unprecedented growth levels and elevated the company’s brand awareness and corporate reputation to historic highs.
Balazs’ expertise and influence in the marketing sphere have garnered significant recognition. Her inclusion in Forbes’ list of the World’s Most Influential CMOs and receipt of AdWeek’s CMO Vanguard Award underscore her commitment to advancing the marketing profession and championing the industry’s social impact initiatives.
Her academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts degree in Pre-Law from the University of Washington, complemented by a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University’s prestigious Kellogg School of Management. This combination of formal education and extensive practical experience positions her ideally to guide Adobe’s marketing strategy through the evolving digital landscape.
