Looking for a spacious venue to host your company’s upcoming corporate bash? Look no further than Ocean Treasure, Manchester’s newest and stunning Pan-Asian restaurant and bar that boasts a capacity of almost 450 people.
Last night, the new venue welcomed hundreds of VIPs to celebrate its launch – with no shortage of bubbly and canapés, of course – and experience the enticing new setting.
Ocean Treasure comes as a sister establishment to Sakana, the well-known Chinese restaurant located downstairs on 23 Peter Street. To make their way to the new restaurant, visitors must go through Sakana first, allowing guests to observe the tasteful décor of both locations and culminating in what has been called “one of the most exquisite dining experiences” in the city.
The new upstairs venue is spacious yet welcoming, making it the perfect location for anything from an intimate couples’ night out right up to a glamorous company-wide bash. And with two bars available, there will definitely no shortage of drinks to go around all night.
There are also private dining options available, with a choice of three rooms capable of accommodating anything from six to 30 guests. For these special occasions, the restaurant’s canapés and sit-down meals can offer the ideal accompaniment for events of all sizes.
Self-described as “a little part of the Far East in central Manchester,” the aim of Ocean Treasures is to take guests beyond the ‘Bamboo Curtain’ on a culinary experience designed to both delight and tantalise your taste buds.
Most of the menu – cooked by in-house masterchefs, all cherry-picked from China Town who come with many years of expertise between them – is traditionally Cantonese. Available banquets range from anything to £26 per person up to £50, all available for parties of two or more.
Some of our favourite options include the steamed diver scallops with garlic and glass vermicelli, the lobster tails cooked in fresh ginger and served in a clay pot, the sizzling fillet steak made Korean ‘Gangnam Style,’ and the age-old classic aromatic crispy duck – a classic for a reason, after all. From the Chef’s special recommendations menu, we’d go for the sesame Pak Fa duckling, which features deep-friend prawns stuffed with roasted duck and smothered in straw mushroom oyster sauce – made for those of us who can never decide between meat or seafood.
