Models 1 and Central Saint Martins to launch BA Fashion scholarship programme. The Executive Magazine speaks with Managing Director Pauline Rendell.

To celebrate half a century as Europe’s leading agency Models 1 has partnered with world-renowned Central Saint Martins to launch a scholarship for BA fashion.

In an unprecedented partnership between the two-industry leading brands, the scholarship will be open to one exceptional home/EU student on the BA Fashion course, and will consider both academic merit and financial need— with the reward of paying final year tuition fees.

Not only this, but Models 1 will also provide the winning recipient up to eight fashion models for their final catwalk show, and one model for the final year collection photography.

Course leader of BA Fashion at Central Saint Martins Sarah Gresty said the scholarship will “give designers the opportunity to develop new skills and realise their creative potential.”

“On behalf of Central Saint Martins, I would like to thank Models 1 for sharing our vision to provide fashion designers with an outstanding education. We are delighted to celebrate Models 1 50th Anniversary and look forward to developing this partnership in the years to come,” Gresty added.

Established in 1968, Models 1 has developed the faces of fashion for the past 50 years. Renowned for launching and nurturing the careers of international models and talents such as Yasmin Le Bon and Linda Evangalista, mega-stars are the fabric of Models 1.

Central Saint Martins’ line of graduates includes the likes of Stella McCartney, Alexander McQueen, John Galliano, and, more recently, Molly Goddard and Angel Chen amongst others. Showing how all things in fashion comes full circle, these designers have gone on to become frequent clients of Models 1.
