For the first time ever, guests at XXII Carat Villas on the Palm Jumeriah will be treated to the stunning centrepiece for their bathroom, supplied by one of the world-renowned designers Baldi.

Baldi recently sold a bathtub carved from a single 10-tonne Amazonian crystal to socialite Tamara Eccleston for $1,000,000: the three-person tub was sculpted with diamond cuts, while the partial rough edges of the tub enhance the natural beauty of the living crystal.

A similar rock crystal tub will be available in some of the Sapphire villas at XXII Carat Villas on the Palm Jumeriah. Other Baldi baths at the villas will be carved from rose quartz and green quartz with gold trim, using ad-hoc gemstones to create rare and prestigious bathrooms fit for royalty.

Known for designing exquisite bathroom features expertly crafted from gemstones such as amethyst, rock crystal, and malachite, the Italian firm has more than 100 years of experience dedicated to the Florentine craftsmanship.

“Baldi bathtubs are truly jewels for the home”, says Luca Baldi, CEO of Baldi. “Each bathtub is comparable to a Renaissance creation, a work of art and craft that testifies to the beauty of nature meeting design.

“Only three bathtubs have been made until today and they were all carved from solid blocks found in the Brazilian Amazon Forest by our scouts. All of them are one-of-a-kind, as it is the nature that is ruling the design.”

Developed by The Forum Group XXII Carat Villas bring the finest European building and finish standards to Dubai.

The villas are a development of 22 buildings offering the ultimate luxury in beachfront resort-style living on the Palm Jumeriah next to One and Only the Palm.

The private beachfront gated community ranges from 8,000 to 13,000 square feet, with sweeping views of the Dubai city skyline.

“We are proud that XXII Carat will be the first to have Baldi’s Jewels for the Home bathtubs, we have scoured Europe for the finest materials and finishes for every aspect of our villas,” said Anton Yachmenev, managing director of Forum Group.

“We believe the property market in Dubai is ready for the finest quality of construction and interiors set like a diamond in the most superb location on the Palm.”
