Pullman Editions, renowned for its Art Deco poster collections since 2010, is presenting an unprecedented opportunity: the chance to acquire the original hand-painted artworks that inspired its celebrated posters.
Art Deco, once a niche interest, has ascended to mainstream acclaim, exemplified by cultural touchstones like the opening credits of Poirot. Under the guidance of founder Georgina Khachadourian, Pullman Editions has commissioned over 100 exclusive poster artworks. “Charles Avalon is our most popular artist,” Khachadourian notes. “His Art Deco renderings are the quintessential decorative art.” For the first time, these original artworks are available for purchase.
The originals of these posters, many of which have sold out, are now being made accessible. Each piece, painted in gouache on art board and measuring 60 x 84 cm, comes with a 4-ply ivory acid-free window mount and is priced at £5,950.
Historically described as a “visual shout,” posters have been a compelling medium for promotion and instant visual appeal. Pullman Editions’ exclusive collections capture iconic Winter Sports destinations in Europe, summer resorts globally, and the world’s most celebrated historic automobiles.
Recognizing a demand for stylish, decorative, yet affordable posters, Pullman Editions is dedicated to crafting and publishing new artworks that offer an accessible alternative to the prohibitively expensive original Art Deco posters from the early 20th century. These original posters, printed in limited editions to the highest standards, recreate the spirit of their period counterparts while maintaining affordability.
