Rolls-Royce has unveiled a new pinnacle of design and bespoke craftsmanship with the introduction of the Ghost Prism. This exclusive model resonates deeply with the marque’s discerning clientele, who are prominent figures in the realms of international fashion, design, and the super-luxury community. The Ghost Prism emerges as a direct response to these clients’ sophisticated tastes and the growing penchant for a minimalist aesthetic paired with striking colour accents.
Celebrating Rolls-Royce’s 120th anniversary in 2024, the Ghost Prism is a limited edition series, restricted to just 120 units worldwide. This exclusivity underscores its significance in the marque’s storied heritage and its appeal to collectors and aficionados of unique luxury cars.
“At Rolls-Royce, we are led by the tastes and desires of our clients, who in many cases determine global trends in fashion and the wider luxury sector. Ghost Prism is an extension of the personal aesthetic of a specific subset from this group of tastemakers. The motor car’s innovative use of dark, neutral tones with subtle impulses of colour, places it firmly within the contemporary luxury landscape. Our clients are experts and connoisseurs who know exactly what they want; Ghost Prism celebrates the unique relationship we have with them.”
Anders Warming – Director of Design, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars
The Ghost Prism is distinguished by its Gunmetal exterior paint, accentuated by the high-gloss Burnout finish on the grille and rear-lid brightwork, replacing the traditional polished stainless steel. This finish is achieved through an intricate process where each metal piece is primed and layered with Burnout paint, then polished to mirror the brilliance of the vehicle’s overall aesthetic.
Adding a dynamic element to its somber palette, the Ghost Prism offers four vibrant accent colours: Phoenix Red, Turchese, Mandarin, and Forge Yellow. These hues are applied to key areas such as the lower bumper inserts, brake calipers, and coachline, offering a contrast that is both subtle and visually impactful. This choice of accents is a nod to the current trends in contemporary design, favoured by the fashion-forward clientele of Rolls-Royce.
Internally, the Ghost Prism continues its theme of restrained luxury combined with bespoke elements. The cabin features a Starlight Headliner with 1,040 coloured ‘stars’, each meticulously placed to create an ambient effect that complements the interior colour schemes. These bespoke interiors are tailored to each client’s preference, offering a virtually limitless palette to ensure their Rolls-Royce is a true representation of their style.
As Rolls-Royce commemorates its 120th year, the Ghost Prism stands as a testament to the brand’s enduring legacy in luxury, its continuous innovation, and its deep understanding of the nuanced desires of its elite clientele. With its compelling blend of understated sophistication and bold stylistic touches, the Ghost Prism defines itself as a quintessential vehicle for personal expression in the luxury automotive sector.
