In a strategic executive transition, Future, a prominent media organisation, has announced the appointment of Sharjeel Suleman as its new Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Suleman, who currently serves as the CFO of ITV Studios, will succeed Penny Ladkin-Brand following her departure on July 28.
With a tenure spanning five years as ITV Studios’ finance chief, Mr. Suleman has accumulated extensive experience within the organisation, having held multiple senior finance positions including Director of Group Finance and Director of Investor Relations.
Mr. Suleman is set to join Future’s team, which operates from offices across the UK including in Bath, Cardiff, and London. His official start date will be announced in due course. In the interim, Deputy Chief Finance Officer Jean du Preez will oversee the finance functions of the company.
Jon Steinberg, Chief Executive Officer of Future plc, expressed his enthusiasm about Mr. Suleman’s upcoming role, stating, “We are delighted that Sharjeel will be joining us. He brings fantastic industry experience from his roles at ITV, in particular driving growth across international markets, and I know he will be a strong addition to the Future team.” Mr. Steinberg also extended his gratitude to Ms. Ladkin-Brand for her pivotal role during his initial year with the company.
The details of Mr. Suleman’s compensation will align with Future’s Directors’ Remuneration Policy, and specifics will be disclosed in the organization’s annual report for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2024.
