The allure of a black dial has long captivated watch enthusiasts, embodying both understated elegance and refined luxury. This year, OMEGA enhances its Seamaster Aqua Terra collection with the introduction of three new models, each featuring a sleek, lacquered black dial available in multiple sizes.

The Aqua Terra collection stands as a testament to OMEGA’s ocean-inspired design philosophy, featuring a symmetrical aesthetic that harks back to the brand’s storied heritage in diving watches. These timepieces, however, are far from nostalgic. They incorporate the state-of-the-art Co-Axial Master Chronometer technology and sport redesigned integrated bracelets with rounded links for modern comfort and style.

Central to this stainless steel range is the black varnished dial, a versatile choice suitable for both professional settings and leisurely escapes. The lacquered finish imparts a distinctive, sophisticated appearance that ensures the Aqua Terra remains striking around the clock.

OMEGA offers this timeless design in three distinct sizes:

41 mm and 38 mm: These models retain the collection’s signature trapezoidal date window, sharp triangular indexes, and an outer minute track.

34 mm: This variant features a round date window, sailboat-shaped indexes, and omits the minute track for a cleaner look.

Each timepiece allows a glimpse into the heart of its mechanics through a sapphire crystal caseback. The 41 mm models house the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8900, while the 38 mm and 34 mm versions are powered by the Calibre 8800. These movements are certified by METAS, meeting the highest standards of precision, performance, and magnetic resistance in the Swiss watch industry. Additionally, each watch is water-resistant up to 150 meters (500 feet) and comes with OMEGA’s comprehensive five-year warranty.

In terms of specifications, the 41 mm, 38 mm, and 34 mm models feature case thicknesses of 13.4 mm, 12.3 mm, and 12 mm respectively, with corresponding lug widths of 20 mm, 19 mm, and 16 mm. The Aqua Terra models maintain their 150-meter water resistance. All versions include an arrow-shaped minute hand and a traditional short hour hand, both crafted from white gold, along with applied white gold diamond-polished indices, all treated with Super-LumiNova for visibility in low light.

The 34 mm model distinguishes itself with softer, sloping “sailboat” hour markers and a round date window, while the 38 mm and 41 mm models feature the more angular triangular markers and a rectangular date window, all with white gold surrounds to enhance their prominence against the black dial.

Beneath the elegant exteriors, the Master Chronometer certified movements offer robust performance, with the Calibre 8900 providing a 60-hour power reserve for the 41 mm model, and the Calibre 8800 offering a 55-hour power reserve for the 38 mm and 34 mm versions. This combination of aesthetic appeal and technical excellence makes the new Seamaster Aqua Terra a standout addition to OMEGA’s prestigious lineup.
