McLaren Automotive recently introduced its latest model, the McLaren GTS, to the Middle East market, marking an exciting milestone for both the brand and its regional customers. The exclusive launch event, hosted at the newly established McLaren Abu Dhabi Service Centre, showcased the supercar to an elite audience of VIP guests, loyal McLaren owners, and influential media figures. The Middle Eastern debut of the GTS highlights the brand’s growing commitment to the region, a key market for luxury vehicles and supercar enthusiasts.

The reveal was set against the backdrop of a stunning photoshoot at Atlantis The Royal, one of the world’s most prestigious ultra-luxury hotels. The majestic setting of this architectural marvel provided the perfect contrast to the sleek, high-performance design of the new GTS.

At the core of the McLaren GTS are the attributes that have cemented McLaren’s place at the pinnacle of the supercar industry: world-class power-to-weight ratios, revolutionary carbon fibre construction, and unparalleled driving dynamics. The GTS, however, goes a step further by introducing a higher level of customisation for both exterior and interior finishes. This ensures that customers can create a vehicle that reflects their personal style while retaining McLaren’s signature performance.

Designed to satisfy the demands of both performance enthusiasts and those seeking everyday usability, the GTS combines the dynamic excitement synonymous with McLaren with superior ride comfort and expanded luggage space, making it equally suitable for longer journeys. Its super-lightweight design, made possible by the innovative carbon fibre monocoque chassis, ensures nimble handling while maintaining the strength needed for an unparalleled driving experience.

Inside, the GTS impresses with an interior that strikes the perfect balance between luxury and functionality. The cabin, refined yet minimalist, offers a comfortable environment for long-distance travel, while remaining laser-focused on providing the driver with everything needed to extract the car’s full potential. It is clear that McLaren has designed the GTS to deliver an elevated driving experience in all conditions, whether on winding roads or extended highway journeys.

“We are thrilled to introduce the stunning McLaren GTS to customers in the Middle East for the first time. Offering an unrivalled blend of McLaren driving dynamics and performance alongside superior refinement and practicality, the GTS represents the best of both worlds – whether you want a true supercar driving experience, or to relax on a longer journey with luggage for a weekend away. In a region with some of the most spectacular driving roads to be found anywhere in the world, we’re sure that the GTS will deliver what our customers in the Middle East have come to expect from McLaren – an exceptional driving experience, wherever they’re going.’’

Performance-wise, the new GTS sets a benchmark in its class. At just 1,520kg (DIN), it is the lightest car in its segment, with an impressive power-to-weight ratio of 418PS per tonne. Powered by a V8 M840TE 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged engine, the GTS delivers 635PS at 7,500rpm. The engine’s increased power output, enhanced by revised ignition timing and more aggressive combustion phasing, ensures that the GTS offers blistering acceleration. Equipped with launch-control as standard, the GTS can reach 100km/h in a mere 3.2 seconds, and an eye-watering 200km/h in just 8.9 seconds. With a top speed of 326km/h (203mph), the GTS delivers exhilarating performance both on the track and on open roads.
