Baglietto Rewrites the Rules for Modern Yachts

La Spezia’s Baglietto has closed the deal on its first T54 motor yacht, marking a decisive evolution of its T-Range. Brokered by SuperyachtsMonaco, with Arrow Monaco overseeing technical management, the 54-metre yacht builds on the proven appeal of the T52, preserving Francesco Paszkowski Design’s signature lines while delivering more volume, smarter layouts, and a vessel that feels larger than its 499 GT

Baglietto’s T54 redefines the 499 GT benchmark. At 54 metres, it builds on the T52 while delivering more volume, smarter layouts, and seamless indoor-outdoor flow. Featuring a three-level stern and integrated chase boat dock to a master suite with private veranda, every detail demonstrates intelligent design, purposeful engineering, and a confident approach to luxury yachting.

SuperyachtsMonaco brokered the deal, with Arrow Monaco overseeing technical oversight throughout construction. The first T54 is taking shape at Baglietto’s La Spezia yard, with delivery scheduled for 2027. A second hull, being built on speculation, is expected in 2028, signalling confidence in the market for yachts that push the limits of the 499 GT envelope.

In this class, every metre matters. The T54 extracts maximum interior and amenity space without compromise. Achieving that requires rigorous naval architecture, meticulous weight distribution, and an intimate understanding of how a yacht functions in both comfort and performance.

The Heart of the Stern

The stern unfolds across three connected levels, a clean evolution of the T52 layout that gives the T54 noticeably more room without adding unnecessary complexity. An infinity pool anchors the main deck lounge, creating a natural gathering point. Below, the spa and gym open directly onto the beach platform, offering seamless access to the water. Every surface and deck plane has been carefully considered to maximise flow while maintaining the yacht’s clean, architectural lines.

The side-folding chase boat dock is a subtle triumph of engineering. Fully integrated and designed to preserve the stern’s sleek profile, it proves that real design is about solving problems cleverly rather than making a statement. The beach club remains fully intact, with every element working in harmony

The Suite Spot

The T54’s master stateroom has grown significantly compared with the T52 and now includes a private veranda which is rarely seen on a 54-metre yacht. Creating it required careful reconfiguration of surrounding technical areas, but the payoff is substantial, creating a room that feels open, connected to the sea, and luxurious without being ostentatious.

The main saloon flows directly onto the outer deck through floor-to-ceiling glazing, bathing interiors in natural light and reinforcing the seamless indoor-outdoor experience that defines modern yacht living. Guest capacity also increases thanks to an additional upper deck cabin, while the signature three-sided sky lounge remains untouched, providing panoramic views and flexible social space.

Elevated Entertaining

The upper deck spans 150 square metres, ideal for outdoor entertaining, dining and lounging. Owners can customise layouts to their lifestyle, whether that means large-scale social gatherings or intimate family use. The deck is designed to encourage natural movement, avoiding congestion while preserving the sense of openness that the T54 delivers so effortlessly.

Twin Caterpillar C32 engines provide a top speed of 16 knots, a considered balance of range, efficiency, and comfort. Rather than chasing raw performance, the propulsion system prioritises smooth, reliable cruising, minimising vibration and noise to create an environment suited for extended passage-making. The T54 is built to move through the water with confidence and grace, rather than simply fast.

Redefining the 499 GT

Baglietto operates from two sites: its 35,000-square-metre La Spezia headquarters and Carrara, which houses two 5,000-square-metre production areas. Recent investment in La Spezia added three new construction sheds capable of handling yachts up to 65 metres, while a 1,200-ton travel lift, notably the largest in Europe, manages launch and retrieval for vessels of comparable scale.

Carrara focuses on military craft under the Baglietto Navy brand and the DOM line, covering yachts up to 46 metres. The dual-facility setup allows the yard to maintain production flexibility, while a deliberately tight focus on aluminium planing yachts and steel-aluminium semi-displacement vessels from 35 to 65 metres.

“The sale of the first T54 marks a significant milestone for Baglietto. This new model not only expands our successful TLine range but also reflects our dedication to innovation and client-focused design. We are proud to continue offering yachts that combine timeless elegance with cutting-edge customization.

Fabio Ermetto, Chief Commercial Officer, Baglietto

Baglietto’s T54 turns limits into advantage. It’s bigger, smarter, and more purposeful than anything else in its class. This is a yacht that proves 499 GT delivers uncompromised luxury and performance.
