The Los Angeles-based hypercar manufacturer Czinger Vehicles has appointed George Biggs to the position of Chief Commercial Officer. The strategic hire brings substantial automotive sector experience to the company at a crucial stage in its development, with the groundbreaking 21C hypercar now entering production and reaching customers globally.

Biggs joins Czinger with an impressive background spanning 15 years in the high-performance automotive sector. His new role encompasses oversight of sales operations, marketing, communications, product strategy and customer engagement as the company progresses into its next growth phase. He will also manage marketing and communications for Divergent Technologies, the parent company behind Czinger’s revolutionary manufacturing approach.

Extensive luxury automotive experience

Prior to his appointment at Czinger, Biggs served as Chief Sales & Marketing Officer at McLaren Automotive, where he contributed significantly to the British supercar manufacturer’s global market expansion and brand development. His tenure at McLaren spanned nearly 13 years, during which he held several key positions including Managing Director for Asia Pacific.

“George’s international expertise and reputation in the high-performance automotive sector make him an invaluable addition to our team,” said Lukas Czinger, Founder, President, and CEO of Czinger Vehicles and Divergent Technologies. “As we deliver the much anticipated 21C, expand our global footprint, and introduce new models, George’s leadership will be vital in our mission to revolutionise the automotive industry.”

The new CCO expressed enthusiasm about joining the company during this pivotal period. “I am thrilled to join Czinger Vehicles at this important moment in the company’s history,” said Biggs. “I am inspired by Czinger’s groundbreaking technology, approach to performance, and also by the team behind the brand. The 21C has given the world a small preview of what harnessing the power of digital manufacturing can achieve, and I’m excited to be part of writing the next chapter.”

Revolutionary automotive manufacturing

Founded in 2019 by father and son Kevin and Lukas Czinger, the company has rapidly established itself as a disruptive force in high-performance vehicle manufacturing. The company utilises proprietary technology that merges advanced human-AI collaboration with innovative production methods to create vehicles that deliver exceptional performance alongside distinctive design.

The timing of Biggs’ appointment aligns with several significant milestones for the company. Customer deliveries of the limited-edition 21C hypercar have commenced, with production restricted to just 80 units worldwide. The 21C has already demonstrated its performance credentials by setting production car lap records at three prestigious venues: Laguna Seca (1:24.75), the Circuit of the Americas (2:10.7), and the Goodwood Hill Climb in the UK (48.82).

Area 21: The future of manufacturing

September 2024 marked another watershed moment for the company with the official opening of its Area 21 production facility in California. This cutting-edge manufacturing centre represents a radical departure from traditional automotive factories. The facility serves as a fully integrated space where advanced human-AI collaboration and additive manufacturing converge to produce the next generation of automotive innovation.

The appointment of Biggs signals the company’s ambitions for continued growth and expansion. With the 21C now reaching customers and additional models in development, his expertise in global markets and luxury automotive brand development will be crucial to the company’s future trajectory.

As the automotive industry undergoes fundamental transformation driven by technological innovation and changing consumer expectations, Czinger’s approach to manufacturing and vehicle design positions it at the forefront of industry change. The addition of Biggs to the leadership team strengthens the company’s ability to navigate this evolving landscape while delivering on its mission to redefine performance vehicles through technological innovation.
