The Executive takes a look at the new Spring/Summer 2019 collection from LANX, the Lancashire based ‘proper’ shoe company.
With its unique take on classic British footwear, LANX has now launched its S/S 19 collection, featuring all the hallmarks that have made the limited release footwear brand renowned for quality and Lancashire-rooted and overseas-inspired style.
Marco Vaghetti told The Executive that his inspiration for this season came from his time in New York, where he studied at the Brooklyn Shoe Space. A softer palette of browns, tan, grey and khaki make up the more casual S/S 19 look, with distressed leather and mesh trainer material being incorporated for the first time.
Starting at £140, a Chelsea boot and loafer also feature for the first time in the new collection, with the company’s popular tweed continuing with a new pattern for the season – again supplied by Benjamin Thornber & Sons.
“This is the second full collection from LANX. It’s slightly more casual to reflect Spring/Summer but we have retained all the hallmarks to make the ‘Proper Shoes’ we’ve become known for,” said Vaghetti.
LANX prides itself on creating business casual footwear made in limited release runs, meaning once the collection is sold, it will not be available again.
“We’ve sold out of much of the previous collection and we’ve seen people appealing for them on social media which made us very proud, so get in now if you like ‘Proper Shoes’,” added Vaghetti.
LANX can also be personalised with shoe tattooing and painting on the uppers and bespoke sole engraving is also available.
