After a decade in the making, the highly-anticipated Banwa Private Island has officially opened in the Northern Palawan region of the Philippines.

This exclusive resort, which costs $100,000 per night, is 15 acres in size, comprising of six beachfront villas overlooking the transparent ocean waters and white sands.

Beginning with just a 50-minute private jet transfer from Manila, the private paradise hosts experiences including unlimited treatments for guests, golf practice on the island’s short game course, or simple relaxation on the beach.

Those wanting to explore the stunning local landscapes can opt to hike the trails in the area, including the Underground River near Puerto Princesa, named as one of UNESCO’s New 7 Wonders of Nature.

Guests are also welcomed to enjoy the watersports options at the island: they can enjoy excursions aboard the island’s limousine tender, a Wajer 38. Those looking to adopt a healthy and nutritious lifestyle on the island have access to a nutritionist to answer any queries and inspire them to continue their programme long after they’ve left.

The private island’s head chef, Ms Nadedja Bouacha, a former private chef and nutritionist to the Qatar Royal Family, heads up the culinary options on the Banwa Private Island.

Taking an eco-friendly approach to guests’ experiences, on-island there is an organic farm and other eco-based initiatives including two artesian wells providing a naturally replenishing reservoir of fresh spring water from a depth of over 500 feet below the island’s white sands.
