Renowned German luggage manufacturer Rimowa, a subsidiary of LVMH, is set to release a special-edition collection in collaboration with the esteemed fashion label Aimé Leon Dore.
This two-piece collection, a fusion of German precision and New York’s fashion finesse, will be available both in-store and online starting May 31, 2024. The collaboration reimagines Rimowa’s timeless designs through a modern, fashion-forward lens.
A Stylish Journey
The collection includes the Rimowa x Aimé Leon Dore Chest and Cabin, both meticulously handcrafted. The Cabin Trunk, first introduced in 1964 and known for its convenient stackable design, serves as the inspiration for this new range.
Equipped with features that Rimowa’s clientele expect, such as TSA-approved locks, flex dividers, and telescopic handles, the Rimowa x Aimé Leon Dore Cabin boasts the brand’s renowned multi-wheel technology, enhancing ease of transport.
A standout feature of the collection is the gold-plated hardware. Complemented by brown leather handles and straps, the deep green aluminium exterior pays homage to Aimé Leon Dore’s signature colour.
Inside, the bespoke details continue with a nylon lining showcasing an exclusive pattern of ancient Greek stamps, a hallmark of Aimé Leon Dore’s design aesthetic.
A Legacy of Collaboration
Rimowa’s history of collaboration is extensive, with previous partnerships including luxury brands such as Tiffany & Co., Palace, and Porsche. This latest venture with Aimé Leon Dore further enriches Rimowa’s portfolio, merging the golden age of travel with a contemporary, elevated design ethos.
The collection encapsulates the romantic elements of travel, blending traditional materials with modern aesthetics. The Rimowa x Aimé Leon Dore Chest and Cabin feature co-branded leather-covered logo badges with gold embossing, reinforcing the luxurious feel of these exclusive pieces.
With this collaboration, Rimowa and Aimé Leon Dore celebrate timeless elegance and sophisticated craftsmanship, ensuring travelers journey in unparalleled style.
