The House of Breguet has announced the appointment of Gregory Kissling as its new CEO. This strategic move not only reflects Breguet’s commitment to maintaining its prestigious legacy but also highlights the company’s focus on innovative leadership in the luxury watch industry.

Hailing from Neuchâtel, Switzerland, Kissling brings with him an impressive wealth of experience, spanning over two decades within the Swatch Group. His journey began at Cartier, where he distinguished himself as a movement designer, responsible for overseeing the intricate workings of watch calibers. This early role laid a strong foundation for his future endeavours in the luxury sector.

In 2004, Kissling transitioned to Omega as a Product Manager, a role that quickly evolved. By 2008, he had ascended to Head of Product Management, ultimately joining the brand’s management team in 2014. His tenure at Omega is marked by a series of remarkable accomplishments, including the successful launches of the Seamaster James Bond “No Time To Die” and its 60th anniversary edition. Under his guidance, the revival of Caliber 321 and the introduction of the Speedmaster Snoopy and Chrono Chime watches garnered significant acclaim, showcasing his profound understanding of both product development and market trends.

Kissling’s expertise is not confined to product management; he has actively participated in various cross-functional projects within the Swatch Group, demonstrating his versatile skill set. His contributions extend to the development of precious metal alloys, an area critical to the luxury watch segment.

As Gregory Kissling steps into his new role at Breguet, he will report directly to President Marc Hayek, inheriting the esteemed legacy of the brand founded in 1775 by Abraham-Louis Breguet, another distinguished figure from Neuchâtel. Kissling’s appointment signifies a pivotal moment for the House of Breguet, as it continues to honour its storied past while embracing the future of watchmaking.

His blend of technical proficiency and profound insights into the luxury watch market positions him as an ideal leader to guide Breguet through its next chapter. As the brand seeks to innovate while maintaining its rich heritage, Kissling’s leadership is poised to inspire both the company and its clientele, reinforcing Breguet’s status as a leader in the world of luxury timepieces.
