One of the most decorated and popular actresses of the 80s and 90s, Michelle Pfeiffer has now taken her first step into the fragrance world with a newline of ‘clean’ perfumes.

Michelle Pfeiffer has already left her mark on the world after such iconic roles as gangster moll Elvira Hancock in ‘Scarface’, but now the Golden Globe-winning and three-time Academy Award-nominated actress is making her first move into the multi-billion-pound fragrance industry with her line of Henry Rose unisex scents.

The fragrances are all “100% transparent” with each bottle clearly labelled with each and every ingredient. Additionally, the bottles are made of 90% recycled glass and the caps are made of soy.

After years of trials and mixing and matching with less than 300 ingredients – whereas most perfumers are able to experiment with ten times that amount – Henry Rose’s IFF perfumers, working with the Environmental Working Group, created five distinct-feeling scents, “each meant to evoke a personal memory, person, place or feeling that I love,” Pfeiffer said.

“We’ve got nothing to hold back, no recipes to protect. If there’s anything I’ve learned through this journey, it’s that real intrigue – the best kind of romance – comes when you have nothing to hide.”

“I set out to see if it was possible to develop a line of fine fragrances proving you don’t need to sacrifice quality and sophistication for safety,” she continued. “And we did it!”

One of the issues with the fragrance industry is not necessarily harmful ingredients, but not knowing what ingredients are being used. One commonly used toxic ingredient are phthalates, something you wont find in these Henry Rose fragrances.

Currently only available in the US, 50ml bottles are available for USD $120.
