Aston Martin has confirmed a significant leadership change across its most valuable sales territory. Andreas Bareis has been appointed President and CEO of Aston Martin The Americas, effective this month, taking responsibility for a region that has long accounted for the largest share of the company’s global wholesales.

The move follows a period of sustained momentum for the British marque, which has introduced a string of new models in recent years while working to deepen relationships with its network of dealers and collectors. Bareis’s promotion reflects both his track record within the business and the scale of ambition Aston Martin holds for its performance across North, Central and South America.

“I am honoured to take on this important role at Aston Martin The Americas at such an exciting time for the brand. The community of luxury and sports car collectors and owners in The Americas are incredibly valuable to Aston Martin and we are now offering them the strongest portfolio of new cars ever created by this great British brand.”

His appointment was announced in New York and confirmed directly by Aston Martin’s chief executive, underlining the importance the company places on the region and on continuity of leadership as it enters its next phase of growth.

A career shaped across the automotive industry

Bareis arrives at this role with a career built across several of the industry’s most recognised manufacturers. Prior to joining Aston Martin, he held senior leadership positions at Mercedes-Benz, Lotus and McLaren Automotive, gaining exposure to markets and customer bases spanning both mainstream and luxury segments. That breadth of experience has informed his approach since joining Aston Martin in 2022.

His most recent posting saw him serve as Regional President for Europe, a period in which the region recorded wholesale growth of more than 30% in 2023. He was subsequently promoted to Global Commercial Director in 2025, a role that placed him at the centre of an intense phase of product launches and first customer deliveries, including that of the Valhalla hybrid supercar. That combination of regional leadership and global commercial oversight has positioned him well for the Americas brief.

Leading the company’s largest region

The Americas has traditionally represented Aston Martin’s largest region by sales volume, making this appointment one of the most consequential in the company’s commercial structure. Bareis will report to Chief Commercial Officer Andrea Baldi and will hold responsibility for all commercial operations across the territory.

“I am delighted to announce the appointment of Andreas Bareis as President and CEO for Aston Martin The Americas. Andreas has made a strong and positive contribution since joining the company, demonstrating clear leadership, energy and a deep understanding of our global commercial operations. The Americas continues to be a key region for Aston Martin’s future success, and Andreas’ experience and proven capability will be instrumental as we continue to strengthen our presence and deliver our growth ambitions in this important market.”

His remit will centre on three priorities: strengthening the performance of the dealer network, enhancing the experience offered to customers, and overseeing continued growth of the brand across the region. Given the scale of the Americas market and its history as a bellwether for the company’s global performance, the appointment carries weight beyond the region itself.
