Bombardier and Elie Saab have unveiled a bespoke cabin for the Global 8000, bringing a haute couture to the world’s fastest business jet. Revealed at Bombardier’s Aviator Lounge in Monaco during the Formula 1 Grand Prix, the design pairs the engineering of Éric Martel’s aviation company with the creative universe of the house led by Elie Saab Jr. Now carrying the fashion house’s design into private flight, it is offered to Global 8000 clients as a distinctive interior option.

The cabin was designed to make the interior feel like a luxurious living space. Natural light, clean lines and a warm material palette create an interior that feels open and inviting, while long sightlines enhance the sense of space throughout. A generous central lounge forms the focal point of the space, providing an inviting setting for relaxation, conversation and connection during flight.

couture at altitude
Turning that vision into reality required close collaboration between Bombardier and ELIE SAAB. Working together, the teams translated the fashion house’s design approach into a fully certifiable aircraft interior, meeting the technical, safety and performance requirements.

The Global 8000 was already well down the road to certification by the time the two sat down together, so they could treat the cabin as a proper living space without ever compromising the way the jet flies.

“When we began discussions with ELIE SAAB, the Global 8000 was already well on the path to becoming a certified, operational aircraft. This allowed us to go beyond concepts and rethink the cabin as a true living space, while fully respecting the performance and operational realities of the aircraft. This collaboration pushes the boundaries of business aviation and reflects our relentless focus on elevating the customer experience.”
Éric Martel President and Chief Executive Officer Bombardier

This is a meeting of two much-loved brands, both known the world over for quality, precision and beautiful design. For the fashion house, whose creative world already stretches into design and interiors, stepping into aviation felt natural, even a little personal.
“With Bombardier, we approached this collaboration with an haute couture mindset, elevating every material and detail into a carefully curated expression of luxury, precision and design excellence. This project also reflects our desire to accompany our clients in their daily lives wherever they are, extending the ELIE SAAB universe into every moment of their journey. It is truly a new approach to private aviation, where travel becomes a seamless continuation of refined living.”
Elie Saab Jr. CEO ELIE SAAB

This is seen in every material and every detail. The whole idea was to keep that sense of the brand close at hand, so that wherever a journey takes its clients, the experience always feels warm, familiar and unmistakably theirs.
Two houses at the height of their craft
For Bombardier, this is a milestone worth marking, both as a maker of remarkable aircraft and as a brand shaping where the field goes next. Its customers already fly a fleet of more than 5,200 aircraft, looked after by 10 service facilities across six countries, with production based in Canada, the United States and Mexico. The company also took the prestigious Red Dot: Best of the Best award for Brands and Communication Design in 2024.

For ELIE SAAB, the project carries its design language into a new setting. Founded in Lebanon in 1982, the house became one of the first international members of France’s Chambre Syndicale and now operates flagship boutiques in Paris, London, Milan, Dubai and Beirut. Its collections span Haute Couture, Ready-to-Wear and Bridal, alongside accessories, eyewear, childrenswear, watches, fragrances and furniture, with recent work in interior design through partnerships with leading developers.
