San Cesario sul Panaro has unveiled something quietly spectacular: the Pagani Huayra Codalunga Speedster. It takes the coupé that won the Design Award at the 2023 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este and removes the roof, creating perhaps the most graceful interpretation of the Huayra yet. Built by the Grandi Complicazioni division and fully homologated for global road use, this is a piece of design that happens to move.

Lorenzo Kerkoc, Head of Grandi Complicazioni, explains it simply. The racing cars of the 1950s and ’60s managed to be fast and beautiful in equal measure. Then efficiency took over, and elegance was lost. The Codalunga Speedster seeks to reclaim that balance, favouring clean, fluid forms over theatrical wings and vents.
“Every Pagani is born to bring into form the unique vision each person has of a Hypercar. For some, it must be extreme, bold, and able to captivate at first glance; for others, it embodies elegance, restraint, and harmony. From these different interpretations arise studies, research, and solutions that lead to strikingly distinct results, yet always recognizable by the Pagani signature: the purity of the lines, the absolute attention to every detail, and the balance between aesthetics and function. The Huayra Codalunga Speedster is a tribute to those who imagine their sports car as an icon of lightness and momentum, shaped by essential lines that transcend time with ease.” Horacio Pagani, Founder & Chief Designer, Pagani Automobili

The Speedster reimagines its coupé sibling with an entirely new monocoque. The headlights are recessed within the bodywork; the front bumper, with its integrated splitter, channels air cleanly beneath the surface. A lower, softer windscreen flows into a leaner profile that exudes poise. Its side windows take cues from post-war racing prototypes with low-slung with gently rounded edges, while a panoramic hard top, when fitted, completes the teardrop silhouette.

Sculpted sills and hidden NACA ducts keep the lines clean while feeding the beast underneath. Around the back, the roll bar ties the roofline to the cabin in one continuous sweep, with the colour running straight through the centre console and onto the dash.

The taillights appear to float, suspended in air. That new six-outlet exhaust system features lower titanium pipes and upper ceramic-coated outlets, providing both the technical specification and the aesthetic signature. Every curve has been refined through CFD simulations, ensuring balanced aerodynamic load distribution between the axles. Less drag, better performance, and all without resorting to enormous wings.
Haute Couture Cabin
Inside, craftsmanship takes centre stage. Hand-stitched leathers in a range of bespoke finishes, solid-milled metal controls, and a steering wheel that blends classic racing influence with modern refinement. Carbon-fibre frames meet mahogany inserts and hand-polished aluminium rivets, creating a contemporary nod to Nardi’s timeless designs.

The standout detail is an exclusive fabric developed from haute couture embroidery. Inspired by Pagani’s four-exhaust motif, the pattern repeats in rhythmic circles, with each seat and panel containing over 450,000 individual stitches. The result is tactile, intricate, and unmistakably human in its execution.

Muted 1960s tones and semi-matte finishes create an atmosphere of calm precision. It’s an interior that feels designed for contemplation as much as performance.

Power comes from a 5,980 cc twin-turbo V12, developed with Mercedes-AMG, producing 864 HP and 1,100 Nm of torque. Acceleration feels effortless through a 7-speed Xtrac gearbox offered in both AMT and manual configurations. The titanium exhaust trims weight and delivers the signature Pagani sound.
The Bespoke Approach
Grandi Complicazioni handles projects so sophisticated they require extraordinary ingenuity and dedication. Only a handful of artisans worldwide possess the skills to build these machines, often in extremely limited numbers. The division takes its name from Haute Horlogerie, where Grande Complications refers to the most complex timepieces.

Each car emerges from direct dialogue between client and team, led by Horacio himself. Concepts, forms, materials, colours, finishes all are on the table. The only limit is imagination, which means no two cars need look alike. With just ten examples planned and deliveries beginning in 2026, the Huayra Codalunga Speedster has created an increasing rare offer.
