Sophos has appointed Teresa Anania as its new Chief Customer Officer (CCO), a move aimed at strengthening its customer and partner success initiatives. Anania will oversee efforts to enhance the value of Sophos’ cybersecurity solutions, including Managed Detection and Response (MDR) services, and comprehensive protection for endpoints, networks, email, and cloud platforms.

Anania, who brings over 25 years of experience in customer satisfaction and sales growth, joins Sophos from Zendesk, where she managed a global client base of over 110,000 customers. Her role at Zendesk encompassed Professional Services, Customer Support, Customer Service, Customer Success, and Renewals, focusing on delivering substantial growth and customer impact.

In her new role, Anania will drive a more customer-centric culture at Sophos, collaborating closely with channel partners and Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to ensure an optimal experience for the company’s 600,000 global customers. Her focus will also include providing small businesses with advanced security solutions and threat intelligence.

Joe Levy, CEO of Sophos, highlighted the importance of Anania’s appointment: “The threat landscape is continually evolving, and organizations need regular assessments of their IT environments to effectively counteract attackers. Security vendors must ensure that their products deliver real value, which involves continuous engagement throughout the contract lifecycle and world-class customer experience for renewals and upgrades. Teresa’s track record in building post-sales relationships and delivering exceptional customer experiences makes her the ideal choice to advance these objectives.”

Anania expressed her enthusiasm for her new role, stating, “Sophos is experiencing a dynamic phase of growth, and I am excited to bring my experience in building positive customer experiences to the company. Sophos is renowned for its innovation in cybersecurity technology and services, and I look forward to working with channel partners, MSPs, and the global team to enhance customer security and drive value from Sophos’ comprehensive portfolio.”

Sophos is poised for continued success with Anania’s leadership, reinforcing its commitment to protecting organisations of all sizes from evolving cyber threats.
