Stuart Procter has been appointed Chief Executive of The Beaumont in Mayfair, following his departure from The Stafford Collection in March, where he served as Chief Operating Officer.
Procter, an experienced hotelier, assumes leadership at The Beaumont amidst a significant period of transformation. The hotel recently underwent a multi-million-pound investment, adding 29 rooms and suites, and refurbishing the original 72 rooms and ground floor, under the vision of the late French architect and designer, Thierry Despont.
Richard Faber, Director of Beaumont Hotel Properties, remarked on Procter’s appointment: “Stuart has specialised in managing high-end hotel portfolios and hospitality projects throughout his career. His depth of knowledge and experience in the sector is unparalleled. We are delighted to welcome him to the team and look forward to the next era of The Beaumont.”
Procter expressed his enthusiasm for the role: “As a young boy growing up in Blackburn, if you had a hotel in Mayfair on the Monopoly board, you won the game – and so it’s always been my dream to work in a hotel in this prestigious part of the capital. Now it’s time to put The Beaumont on the international map, placing service at the heart of everything we do, and creating exciting food and beverage offerings in the process. I am delighted to join the team at The Beaumont and look forward to crafting unique guest experiences rooted in the very best of British hospitality.”
Procter’s extensive career includes a successful tenure at The Stafford, which he led starting in 2006. Under his guidance, the hotel’s annual revenue and profitability saw significant growth, earning numerous international accolades. In 2019, following the acquisition of the Northcote hotel and Michelin-star restaurant by Britannia Hospitality Limited, Procter was promoted to Chief Operating Officer of The Stafford London and Northcote, overseeing The Stafford Collection.
Procter’s portfolio also includes the development of Hotel Football in Manchester, a project he co-created with Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville.
Procter’s commitment extends beyond his professional achievements. He actively supports industry charities, including Hospitality Action and the Hospitality Industry Benevolent Organisation, and serves as Vice President of Debra UK, a national charity assisting individuals with epidermolysis bullosa.
As Procter steps into his new role at The Beaumont, he aims to leverage his extensive expertise to enhance the hotel’s reputation on the global stage, ensuring it continues to deliver unparalleled service and exceptional hospitality experiences.
